Food drive for backpack program

FFCS is holding a food drive to support the backpack program for students in need. The district provides backpacks filled with food to help meet the needs of children on weekends, when other resources such as school meals are not available. The items that are needed are listed below.

Boxes for donated items are available in each school building office. Community members may also contact Melanie Capron about making a donation at 518-853-3332 ext. 5009 or mcapron@ffcsd.org.

The program is entirely funded by donations. The goal of the program is to provide children with enough nutritious food to have breakfast, lunch, and a snack each day over the weekend. Students pick up their backpacks each Friday and return it on Monday to be refilled for the following week.
