District welcomes new assistant principal

On July 1, 2023, the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District welcomed Kyle G. Roberts as the new assistant principal for the middle and high school buildings. Mr. Roberts arrives at the district from the Hudson City Central School District, where he has served as a health education teacher since 2017. Mr. Roberts brings a wealth of administrative experience and an ability to interact and create connections with students, staff, and faculty. In his new role, Mr. Roberts will work as assistant principal for both the middle and high school. This hybrid role will allow Mr. Roberts to assist with day-to-day building oversight and student interactions.

“As a district, we seek to identify candidates that can positively contribute to our school community,” said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Ciaccio. “We look forward to Mr. Roberts joining our team and his experience adds to our school culture and the success of our students.”

Mr. Roberts previously worked with senior administration at Hudson City School District and the Lansingburgh Central School District in the role of assistant principal. At both districts, he was responsible for the planning and coordination of programs and services, participated in culture/climate committees, assisted in the retention of staff and faculty, and created schoolwide strategies and implementation of social and emotional processes for classrooms.

Mr. Roberts has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cortland and a Master’s in Education from Canisius College. In addition, Mr. Roberts received a Post Graduate Certificate In Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University.
