Recently, Fonda-Fultonville senior Christian Majewski was appointed as a student liaison (student ex officio member) on the HFM BOCES Board of Education. As part of his role on the Board, Mr. Majewski will be involved in meetings and discussions related to HFM BOCES. Additionally, he will provide a student voice on behalf of the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District.
Mr. Majewski’s appointment follows his high school colleague, who recently became a student representative on the Fonda-Fultonville CSD Board of Education. Fonda-Fultonville junior Lily Perry was recently appointed as a student representative on the FFCSD Board of Education.
Today, we asked him a few questions about his role and how he feels his perspective can assist HFM BOCES.
How do you feel your role with HFM BOCES can help today’s students?
As a cosmetology student, I see a different perspective from other students in other programs. I hope my feedback can assist others in their experience at HFM BOCES, as they pursue their goals.
Why did you become interested in this role?
To improve professionalism and interact with Board members and share thoughts on important topics. Also, to grow more as an individual.
What are your plans after FFCSD?
Going to college to pursue a degree in criminology or business. I definitely plan to pursue additional work in cosmetology.
