Update on FFCS reopening for the ’21-’22 school year

For the 2021-22 school year, the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District is planning for a full return to school in September. At this time, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has stated that we will not be receiving guidance on the reopening of schools from their department and they recommend that we coordinate with our local public health departments to determine health and safety protocols for the upcoming school year.

Last spring, the district provided a survey to better understand the needs of our students and families for the upcoming school year. Overwhelmingly, the responses we received reinforced having our students return for in-person instruction this fall. As a district, we feel that all of our students need to be in-person to experience an environment focused on academics and social-emotional well-being.  As a result, the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District will not be offering a remote only instructional option for the upcoming school year.

If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to sign-up for ParentSquare. Please visit www.parentsquare.com and sign up using the contact information on file with the school district. This platform will allow you to stay up-to-date and connected with important communication on a
classroom, building and district level.

We hope you’re enjoying your summer and we will continue to provide updated information related to the reopening of our district as we finalize our plans and prepare to welcome students back on September 8.
