Jan. 28: COVID-19 positive case, district open for hybrid learning

Today, Jan. 28 the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District was informed that a member of the elementary school has tested positive for COVID-19. This case will impact one classroom at the elementary school. Our hybrid learning schedule will proceed as normal and FFCS remains open for in-person instruction.

You will be notified by the school district if you or your child have been in close contact with this individual. If you are not contacted, then you know that you and/or your child have not been in contact with the individual who tested positive. Students who have been told to quarantine should participate in remote instruction each day unless they are symptomatic.

We again remind you that we are following all of the necessary health and safety precautions outlined in our reopening plan, including mask-wearing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. We will continue to work in close partnership with our public health partners. We also ask you to continue to maintain personal awareness of COVID symptoms and encourage your children to continue following appropriate safety precautions.
