Important Update: Free and Reduced Meals; APPLY TODAY

FFCS Families,

As a reminder, there will NOT be free school meals for ALL students for the upcoming school year. Applications for free and reduced school meals MUST be submitted for 2022-23.

For the upcoming school year, FFCS families MUST complete an application to determine if their household is eligible for free or reduced-price school meals, as was done prior to the pandemic. Application can be found here. Free school meals for ALL students will be discontinued for the 2022-23 school year. We ask that families fill out and submit their application for the upcoming school year.

Please note: Unless you have a student(s) that qualifies for free and reduced lunch, you will have to pay full price for breakfast and/or lunch. There will NOT be free school meals for ALL students for the 2022-23 school year. The new pricing for milk and meals for the upcoming school year are as follows:

  • Milk – $1.00
  • Breakfast – $1.50
  • Elementary School Lunch – $2.85
  • Middle School Lunch – $2.95
  • High School Lunch – $3.10

    As part of qualifying for the free and reduced meal program, we would like to share the benefits and why it’s important to fill out applications. The benefits are:

If your family qualifies for free or reduced meals through the Free and Reduced-Price Lunch (FRPL) program, you may be entitled to other benefits.

· Up to $375 per child for summer meals. (A family of three can receive more than $1,000 in P-EBT* support.)

· Reduced internet fee of $15 through the Emergency Broadband Program (regularly $65).

· Student Chromebook damage coverage at reduced (or no) cost, available through the district (regularly $25).

· Free SUNY tuition or reduced FMCC tuition, and other benefits. Contact the school counseling office for details: 518-853-4415 x 4235.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: New Payment System Launched

This message is to inform you that the district has started utilizing a new payment system, called TITAN School Solutions,  where you can make online payments for your students’ meals. We are no longer utilizing  MySchoolBucks, so you are now unable to make payments with your previous account. The district has worked with the TITAN School Solutions to ensure that funds that were in your previous accounts have been transferred to the new payment system.

As part of this process, you must go to https://family.titank12.com and make a new account in order to continue making payments towards your students’ meals. You can also submit a meal application through TITAN School Solutions for the current school year. Click on “Sign up today!” to begin the process of making a new account and be sure to have the following information to successfully link your student(s) to your account:

*   First Name
*   Last Name
*   Grade
*   School
*   Date of Birth

For further questions, please contact the Food Service Manager Mrs. Palmer at vpalmer@ffcsd.org or reach out to the support line for TITAN School Solutions at 916-467-4700 option 2.

In addition, if you already receive Medicaid or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you will receive P-EBT benefits automatically, but if you do not submit your free and reduced-price lunch application, you might be missing out on additional benefits for your family and your school. Please note: Your family may qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Lunch even if you do not qualify for Medicaid or SNAP.

Be sure to review the benefits and fill out a free and reduced-price meal application if you believe you may qualify. Learn more about how to apply on our Food Services web page.

If you have questions, please contact Food Service Manager, Vicki Palmer at 518-853-4508 ext 4260.

 We appreciate your consideration.
