This month, the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District received notification from Stewart’s Shops that it was the recipient of multiple donations through the convenience stores Stewart’s Holiday Match program.

The program has elected to support two FFCS programs with their generous donations. The first donation is for $1,100.00 and will support the district’s backpack program which provides essential food items for our vulnerable students. In addition, a second donation for $600.00 was made to further support the FFCS Outdoor Club. The club, established in 2020, creates opportunities for students to access outdoor areas to experience all that the outdoors has to offer.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have the support from community partners, like Stewart’s Shops, that allow our district to strengthen programs and services for our school community,” said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Ciaccio. “By receiving these donations, we can continue the great work being done by our district staff and faculty to improve our outreach to our most important resource, our students.”

The donations are part of the Stewart’s Holiday Match program. This community-based program allows Stewart’s Shops to match customer donations in their regional locations from Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Day. With the help of the customers, the Holiday Match Program has contributed over $34 million to thousands of organizations since it was started in 1986. Details on this incredible charitable program can be found here.

On Monday, March 28, the Fonda-Fultonville Board of Education will officially accept the donations made in support of our district.

On behalf of the FFCS community, thank you Stewart’s Shops for all that you do for our region!
