The FFES is setting the bar high and sharing some positive connections with the community. Recently, for the Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) campaign, the FFES had set a fundraising goal of $2,000 for the month of February. As of today, the FFES has raised a record amount totaling $6,418 for this year’s campaign.

“We are incredibly excited to announce this record-breaking amount for this year’s RMHC-CR campaign,” said FFES Principal Mr. Romano. “Not only are our students strengthening their ability to read, they are making a direct impact for those in need. We cannot thank our students, parents and caregivers and staff enough for reaching this incredible goal.”

For this year’s campaign, students selected the month of February to begin tracking their reading progress. Students tracked each minute they read and encouraged family and friends to sponsor their reading efforts. At the end of the month, all donations provided to the students’ reading progress were collected and given to the RMHC-CR.

Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region is a reading-based community service program that empowers elementary and middle school students to develop lifelong skills while supporting children and families served by RMHC of the Capital Region.
