On Tuesday, February 13, Fonda-Fultonville High School students were provided with a first-hand experience on the dangers of impaired and distracted driving during the district’s annual Wellness Day. Save A Life Tour representatives presented their international safe driving program that includes hands-on Virtual Reality Impaired Driving Simulators. Participating students were able to use two simulators that allowed students to better understand the dangers of impaired and distracted driving.

In addition to the Save A Life Tour demonstrations, the district hosted numerous discussions with students to share well-balanced and healthy pathways that students can carry into their adult lives.

“As a district, it’s important to share and provide the resources necessary for our students to lead a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle,” said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Ciaccio. “At FFCS, we encourage all our students to seek out extra-curricular activities that may be of interest to them. We are always adding more opportunities based on student interest. This day focuses on exposing them to more healthy choices that are available in our community, but not at school.”
