Each year, the district holds a variety of drills to ensure the health and safety of our students. From fire drills to lockdown procedures, each exercise is designed to familiarize students with what to do and how to stay safe in case of an emergency. Today, students took part in the bus safety drill. The drill is simple but provides details on the importance of listening, staying calm, and helping one another to exit the rear of the school bus.
“Bus drills provide students from Pre-K to high school with an opportunity to get familiar with what to do in the event of an emergency on the school bus,” shared Transportation Supervisor, Ms. Sweet. “This drill is normally held three times a year and allows students to get comfortable participating in the drill. Our bus drivers and staff ensure the process moves smoothly and allows students to learn about bus safety each school year.”
