From March 27-29, the Fonda-Fultonville (FF) Theatrical Company will deliver its spring musical production of Disney’s The Lion King Jr. This week, we were able to sit down with freshman Jack Waters as he prepares for his first-ever production with the F-F Theatrical Company, taking on the beloved character Simba.
Don’t forget to grab your tickets and catch a wonderful production for the whole community. Advanced ticketing information can be found here.
Lastly, here’s our Q&A with Mr. Waters:
What motivated you to audition for the lead?
I’ve performed in chorus and select chorus over the years, and I’ve always felt confident to audition for this year’s production. My friends were very supportive in having me audition for the role. I appreciate their support. Simba wasn’t my first choice initially, but I am happy to play the role of Simba. I’m looking forward to it.
How do you approach your first time performing for FF Theatrical?
Feeling prepared is the most important thing. Like anything else, you need to be confident, and that includes preparation with my fellow cast members and Mrs. Brewer.
What can attendees expect from this year’s production?
You can expect a fun time for both cast members and audience members. I can’t provide too much information, but it will be a great evening for everyone. We hope to see you there!
