Jan. 21: COVID-19 positive case, district remains open

The Fonda-Fultonville Central School District has just been informed that a member of the elementary school tested positive for COVID-19. This positive case will impact one classroom in the elementary school.  Our hybrid learning schedule will continue as normal and FFCS remains open for in-person instruction.

Contact tracing is being done this evening, Jan. 21. If you are not contacted, then you know that you and/or your child have not been in contact with the individual who tested positive. Students who have been told to quarantine should participate in remote instruction each day unless they are symptomatic.

We again remind you that we are following all of the necessary health and safety precautions outlined in our reopening plan, including mask-wearing, social distancing and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting. We will continue to work in close partnership with our public health partners. We also ask you to continue to maintain personal awareness of COVID symptoms and encourage your children to continue following appropriate safety precautions.
