On Monday, May 22, the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District held a community forum to review the next steps in selecting a new mascot. As part of that forum, the district discussed sharing a web link for its community to submit name suggestions for the next school mascot. This link will be active from Monday, May 22 to Friday, June 23, and will offer students, alumni, and community stakeholders the opportunity to share their mascot suggestions. That link is available here. In addition, a paper-based form will be available for those community members that have difficulty accessing the online form. Those forms will be available at the district office.
Beginning in the fall of the 2023-24 school year, a committee consisting of multiple stakeholder groups will review the submitted name suggestions. If anyone in the Fonda-Fultonville community is interested in being a part of this group, we ask that you contact the district office at (518) 853-3332. This group will review the suggested names and compile a final list to be voted on at the end of this calendar year. Once a new mascot name has been voted and agreed upon, it will go into place for the 2024-25 school year.
