This month, the FFCS will be holding a districtwide bus safety poster contest for ALL students to participate. Please note that this contest is OPTIONAL. The contest will allow district students to win prizes, while receiving recognition for their creativity highlighting bus safety. For this year, that theme is “Safely Rolling to My Destination.”
Each poster should be sized at 11” X 17“ or 12” X 18.” Once a student’s poster is completed and submitted, it will be voted on by members of the district’s transportation company Student Transportation of America (STA). Submitted entries are due by Tuesday, Nov. 15.
What’s the big prize for participating students?
First prize: brand-new mountain bike (courtesy of STA)

In addition, the first prize winning entry will be submitted to represent the district in the National School Bus Safety Poster Contest. This contest is sponsored each year by the National Association for Pupil Transportation, the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services, the National School Transportation Association, IC Bus Corporation, Thomas Built Buses and Blue Bird Corp. That information can be found here. Submitted entries to that program have the opportunity to win up to $500.00!!
