F-F welcomes new interim high school principal

Earlier this month, the Fonda-Fultonville Board of Education appointed Mr. Wayne Bell to the position of interim high school principal for the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District. Mr. Bell brings nearly 20 years of administrative/educational experience to this role. Mr. Bell will oversee the high school’s day-to-day activities as the district seeks to identify a permanent replacement for the principal role. His new role begins on Monday, November 3.

Mr. Bell joins the district after 14 years as safety coordinator and middle and high school principal at Broadalbin-Perth Central School District. In these roles, he developed and implemented health and safety protocols, oversaw building operations, managed budgets, and supervised staff and faculty. Before his work at Broadalbin Perth, he taught mathematics at Fonda-Fultonville from 2000 to 2006, where he supervised curriculum and managed Regent’s examinations. Mr. Bell is also an alumnus (Class of 1980) of Fonda-Fultonville CSD.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Mr. Bell rejoin the Fonda-Fultonville school community,” shared Superintendent of Schools Dr. DeMallie. “In speaking to Mr. Bell about the position, I was extremely impressed with how his goals were to be there for our children and maintain the traditions and standards of excellence of the district.”

Mr. Bell holds an Associate of Applied Science from SUNY Delhi and a Bachelor of Science in secondary mathematics from SUNY Brockport. He earned New York State teacher certification in 1999 and a Master of Science in Education Administration from SUNY Albany.
