Since 1990, the New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) Legislative Exhibit has become the main event for Youth Art Month. This annual event also showcases NYSATA’s largest public display of student artwork in a government building (Legislative Office Building in Albany). This exhibit is also co-sponsored by the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT).

This year, the following Fonda-Fultonville students were selected to have their artwork featured in the NYSATA Legislative Exhibit:

  • Maylin Perez Jimenez, grade 3 (slide 148)
  • John Lewek Jr, grade 5 (slide 149)

The exhibit will be available for viewing through February 2025 on the NYSATA website at www.nysata.org/legislative-exhibit.

In addition, our student’s artwork is present throughout our community. To celebrate Youth Art Month, we have displayed our students’ work at the Town of Mohawk Firehouse Pancake Breakfast, Fieldridge Farms Maple Weekends, and the Frothingham Library. Student artwork is also available for viewing in the elementary and middle school offices and throughout the buildings. Please note that the school-wide art show will take place on May 21 alongside the budget vote this year. Come check out some of the great work produced by our students!
