Rachel Hicks and Rachel Servant’s first graders recently got a sweet life lesson about friendship. Students learned about kindness, courtesy, respect, and friendship by reading the book “Enemy Pie.” The story is about a little boy who bakes a pie for his enemy, only to realize through the process that his enemy is actually his friend. Students made their own “enemy pies,” which may be better known as “worms in dirt.”
