It’s a big week for senior Jayden Taylor, leading up to this weekend’s production of The Lion King Jr. She will be playing the lead character of Timon and is learning the “Hakuna Matata” way as the production looks to wrap up rehearsals.
We were able to get a few minutes with Taylor to ask her about this year’s production. She has spent the past five years with the F-F Theatrical Company, and this will mark her last year performing.
So, don’t forget to grab your tickets. There will be three performance dates you can catch this wonderful production (March 27, 28, and 29). Admission is via Reserved Seating. To ensure your preferred seats, patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online here.
Without further interruption, here’s our Q&A with senior Jayden Taylor:
How do you feel about this year’s production?
I think it’s coming together great. We have a great cast, and the chemistry is off the charts. It’s going to be a really cool show!
You’re playing Timon. How is that role challenging for you?
I’m accustomed to being cast in comedic-relief roles. This is my second lead, and I’m feeling comfortable with our cast and ensemble team. Timone is a fun character, and I originally wanted a different role. However, the day before the cast list came out, I decided I wanted to play Timon and ended up getting the role.
What do you want the audience to take from this year’s production?
It’s a really fun show, and it’s a nice nostalgic return to childhood for many of us, including the audience. We have a great cast with amazing energy. The show is going to be great. I hope the audience enjoys this year’s production. Grab your tickets and don’t miss out!!
