Technology and its impact on agriculture and farming is reaching new heights! Like any industry, technology plays a pivotal role in how we view innovation and how it can assist in our work and play. This is especially true in the farming industry. Today, students from the district’s Ag and Technology program received a first-hand look at how the impact of technology can play a role in agriculture while adding another opportunity to identify career pathways.

The experienced staff at United Ag & Turf – Northeast John Deere held a “Demo Day” on the district campus complete with a few of their newest self-driving tractors. The John Deere United Ag & Turf team provided in-depth presentations and answered Q&A related to the innovation available for today’s farming communities, and shared their thoughts on how the Ag industry continues to adapt to change.
“We are fortunate to have experienced technicians and staff from the United Ag & Turf – Northeast John Deere team visit our district and share their knowledge with our FFA students,” said HS Ag Teacher and MS FFA Advisor Ashley Gifford. “To see the students engaging with the presentations and learning about new opportunities in the AG industry was great to see. We look forward to additional events and activities to show our students how Ag Mechanics & Technology is forever changing our communities.”
