On Friday, October 10, 30 middle school students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. To become a member of the National Junior Honor Society, one must exhibit specific qualities, including having good character and citizenship, leadership (participating in clubs and extra-curricular activities), scholarship (maintaining a 90 or above GPA) in 6th, 7th, and all of 8th grade, and last but not least, service. A student who has demonstrated an understanding of service comprehends that, in the routine of the day’s work, many opportunities arise to help others. Willingness to work for the benefit of those in need, without monetary compensation or without recognition, is the quality we seek in our membership. We are committed to the idea of volunteering our time and talents to help create a better tomorrow.
