Local, State and Federal Scholarships

The Scholarship Booklet includes a list of all the available scholarships, as well as information about financial aid. Due dates are listed at the link below:

Students should print and complete the applications. Most applications require a transcript. To receive your transcript, please email the school counselors Amanda Rose arose@ffcsd.org or Emily Miller emiller@ffcsd.org. The counselors will email your transcript to add to your scholarship application. They are available to help with any questions you may have.

Financial Aid Information

Annual Financial Aid Night for seniors and their parents

The financial aid forms and many other financial aid details will be explained by the director of financial aid at Fulton-Montgomery Community College. All seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend this valuable informational meeting.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Used for all federal financial aid including Pell Grants, Stafford Student Loans, work study programs and New York State Tuition Assistance Program. Forms will be available in October and Should be submitted as soon as possible after Oct. 1 , but not before. It is recommended to file online at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ as it makes the process go faster.

New York State Tuition Assistance Program

Included as part of the FAFSA form. Must be attending a college in New York State to use this award.

CSS/Financial Aid Profile

Required by certain colleges (list of colleges available in the CSS Profile Registration Guide) that use the information collected on the profile to help them award non-federal student aid funds. You would still need to complete the FAFSA form in addition to this. Registration guides are available in the counseling office in September. The profile application process can only be done online at https://www.collegeboard.org/. Click on College Planning, then you can access the CSS/profile link under “Pay for College.”

Registration begins Oct. 1. The fee for the initial application and one college or program report is $25. Additional reports are $16 each.

Individual College Financial Aid Forms & Scholarships

Colleges may also require their own financial aid form, and will most likely have their own scholarship programs. Check with the financial aid office at each college. Meet the deadline of each college.
