Braves Strong & Students of Distinction

In an effort to recognize the exceptional attributes that so many Fonda-Fultonville students embody, the high school has two leadership programs to recognize and reward admirable students for their efforts in helping to promote a positive atmosphere at the school district. The two programs outlined below were created to recognize and honor students in a variety of ways, from academic achievements to teacher nominations for good character and participation.

Braves Strong

Students who are considered to be “Braves Strong” embody the qualities of what it means to be a FFCS Brave. A student who demonstrates character traits such as responsibility, integrity, kindness, and dedication will be considered for recognition. Every month, teachers are encouraged to submit the names of students that they believe are “Braves Strong.” Five names will be drawn from the list of students nominated. The students whose names are drawn will receive a letter home with a certificate, FFHS pen, and a “Braves Strong” dog tag necklace. At the end of the year, all names that were not drawn will be placed in a lottery for another chance to win.

Students of Distinction

The research is clear: school attendance plays an important role in academic success. That’s why Fonda-Fultonville High School is proud to announce the new Students of Distinction program to recognize exceptional attendance. Students of Distinction will be chosen at the end of each quarter. The criteria for earning Student of Distinction honors is perfect attendance for the academic quarter and no discipline referrals, in addition to achieving honor roll or better. Students of Distinction will receive a letter, certificate, and a bracelet sent home along with recognition on cafeteria monitors and a celebration with some type of food to celebrate with other students of distinction. Students who earn recognition for all four quarters will also receive a t-shirt at the end of the school year.
