This week, district staff participated in various workshops to continue their commitment to our school families. As part of that initiative, the district welcomed former National Football League (NFL) player and professional motivational speaker David Holloway. During his presentation, Mr. Holloway highlighted areas for staff to maximize their potential, understand their role in developing our students to their highest ability, and provide them with the tools to be successful in their daily responsibilities.

If you’re interested in learning more about Mr. Holloway’s background and speaking opportunities, please visit his website at www.davidholloway.com.

We were fortunate to have a few minutes to share of some of his thoughts in our Q&A below. We hope you enjoy!

What is your main goal in connecting with FFCS teachers and staff?

The main goal is to remind them of their personal power. Secondly, it’s to give them the tools to bridge the gap from where they are to where they want to be.

What powerful reminder do you suggest to be successful in their role?

I’d say never to feel like you’ve made it and to learn more. Be a student of life no matter what age.

How can our students take steps to set their next pathway?

School is never out for the pros. Working on yourself is one of the best gifts to yourself and others. Keep doing self-discovery and continue to work on yourself.
