The students in Rachel Hicks’ and Rachel Servant’s first grade class recently created mini museum exhibits and posters about animals. They learned about nonfiction books, picked an animal to research, created their projects and presented them to their peers to share what they learned. They practiced their literacy, communication and public speaking skills, learned interesting facts and showed bravery by standing before their class.
