Athletics Hall of Fame

The Fonda-Fultonville High School Athletics Hall of Fame honors individuals and teams, establishes pride, and preserves the tradition of the Fonda-Fultonville athletics program by recognizing those who have made a significant contribution to the athletic program in the Fonda-Fultonville School District.


Qualifications

A member of the Athletics Hall of Fame can include:

  1. Athlete
  2. Coach
  3. Team
  4. Contributor to Fonda-Fultonville High School Athletics

Criteria for Automatic Induction

Individuals, coaches, or teams who meet one of the following criteria will be automatically inducted into the Fonda-Fultonville High School Athletics Hall of Fame (as long as they also meet the criteria listed below);

  1. Olympic Participant
  2. National Champion
  3. All-American Honors
  4. State Champion/Player of the Year

Criteria for Nomination

Athlete

  1. Athletes graduated from Fonda-Fultonville High School a minimum of seven (7) years prior to his/her nomination.
  2. Must have made an outstanding contribution to the Fonda-Fultonville High School Athletics Program.
  3. Must have exemplified high character while and after representing Fonda-Fultonville High School. That is, he or she should be a positive role model, worthy of being emulated by current and future students.

Coach

  1. Coached at Fonda-Fultonville High School at least seven (7) years prior to his/her nomination.
  2. Must have made an outstanding contribution to the Fonda-Fultonville High School Athletics Program.
  3. May not have left Fonda-Fultonville High School for any reasons detrimental to the image of the school.

Team

A team shall be eligible after at least seven (7) years of its noteworthy achievement. The team shall have received recognition in a significant way.

Contributor

This individual will have made an outstanding contribution to the interscholastic athletic programs at Fonda-Fultonville High School other than coaching and playing: i.e. significant financial support; significant number of volunteer hours in assistance of athletics program.


Nominations

Nomination Form for the FFCSD Athletics Hall of Fame

  • Any individual, team, or coach meeting the set criteria may be nominated by anyone.
  • Nomination of candidates for entry into the Hall of Fame shall be made annually.
  • Nomination form must be completed and received each year by May 1st for a candidate to be considered for induction. Failure to complete the nomination form will result in invalidation of the application. Nomination forms should be mailed to:

  • Nominees not selected will be carried over for the following two (2) years.

Honoree’s Recognition

  • The Fonda-Fultonville High School Athletics Hall of Fame will honor individuals by induction into the Hall of Fame.
  • Public recognition will be held at the Homecoming Football Game.
  • Number of inductees will be limited, 3 to 6 per year.
