Absentee ballots available by request for May 18 budget vote

Absentee ballots are available by request for the May 18 budget vote. Residents who are unable to come to the polls if they are out of town or because of health concerns, including but not limited to illness, disability or hospitalization may request an absentee ballot. The risk of contracting or spreading a communicable disease like COVID-19 is a valid reason to request an absentee ballot in New York, according to state legislation.

Absentee voters must first complete and return an application. Applications are available by contacting the district clerk Lori Maves at 518-853-4415 ext. 4230 or lmaves@ffcsd.org

If you want an absentee ballot mailed to you, your application must be received by the district clerk no later than May 11. If you plan to pick up your ballot, your application must be received by May 17. Completed ballots must be received by the district by mail or drop-off no later than 5 p.m. on May 18.

Residents can vote in person from noon-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at the high school auditorium. Voters will consider a $30.8 million spending plan for the 2021-22 school year, vote on a school bus lease proposition and elect three candidates to the Board of Education.
