Relations with Other Governmental Authorities | Policy 3120

The Board of Education performs a variety of functions in  relation to other agencies of government concerned with the security, safety, health and well-being of the students  and the community as well as the education of the students under its care.

Various agencies at the federal, state and local level have concerns and responsibilities in relation to the schools and students as well as district residents. The Board should work cooperatively with other agencies, consistent with its statutory responsibilities and careful protection of the rights of students and staff. Cooperation among government agencies, and especially participation with them in the planning and execution of mutually beneficial projects and programs, will work to serve the district students as well as the community and its residents.
