Supervision of Conditionally Appointed & Emergency Conditionally Appointed Personnel | Policy 6111

Consistent with applicable State law and regulations, the Board of Education wishes to ensure the safety of students who have contact with employees holding conditional appointments or emergency conditional appointments.

In accordance with this goal, the Board of Education hereby directs the Superintendent of Schools to develop procedures on a building or program basis, as appropriate, which address the safety of students in the classroom, students attending District-sponsored activities off school grounds, students participating in extracurricular and co-curricular activities and in any other setting involving a conditionally appointed or emergency conditionally appointed employee.

This policy and the procedures developed by the Superintendent shall terminate, and shall be rescinded, as of July 1, 2003, unless and until the provision of conditional and emergency conditional appointments are extended beyond that date.
