Parent Involvement | Policy 3251

The Fonda-Fultonville Central School District recognizes the positive outcomes of parental involvement in the educational development of children. The District compensatory program actively supports and solicits parent input and participation in the educational programs of their children and strives for home/school partnerships.

Toward this end, parents are provided avenues for communication and input into program development through participation on the parent advisory council, attendance at the annual open house, parent-teacher conferences, and parent visitation days. The program will include opportunities for parent training and hands on parent-child activities carried out in the school.

Provisions of the program activities will be disseminated through written notification, telephone communiqu├ęs, and periodic meetings. Records of such activities will be maintained in written form and available upon request.
