Student wins company’s art contest

Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School student Karina DeMallie won the Sargent Art company’s “A Brighter World” art contest.  Submissions were received from all over the United States. Fifth graders visit college as part of ecosystems studies

Fifth graders recently took a trip to SUNY Cobleskill to wrap up their studies on ecosystems. Students visited the fish hatchery, dairy facilities, livestock barns, herpetology department and the plant conservatory. It was an opportunity for students to see real-world applications of what they learned in class.

Board of Education adopts tax exemptions for veterans

The Fonda-Fultonville Central School District Board of Education adopted the Alternative Veterans and Cold War tax exemptions at its monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 19. The resolution gives eligible military veterans a partial property tax exemption on their school taxes for their primary residence.
