RAIN DATE: ES Carnival ‘Best Day Ever’ will be held Thursday

Dear Families,

The Reading Rocks Carnival ‘Best Day Ever’ has been rescheduled to Thursday June 14 (the rain date) because of the weather forecast for Wednesday.

We are so excited to be offering our elementary students such a full day of opportunities this year!  Please be sure to read the attached information, and contact the office if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s participation.

If you drive your child to school, please don’t be late! The elementary entrance will be CLOSED at 8 a.m. sharp to make room for the fun! If you arrive any later, you will need to enter through the middle school door No. 3, and sign your child in there. They will be escorted to the elementary building by a school employee.

Pick up will be as usual after 2:15 p.m. in the elementary building.

Pay attention to the weather! Dress your child appropriately…It is supposed to be windy and in the mid-60s.

Things you should send to school on this day:

  • Hat
  • Sunscreen – put some on before the day begins!
  • Refillable water bottle
  • A change of clothing (water play!)

A shout out to all the volunteers who will be working this day to help us help your child have a GREAT day!

A special thank you to everyone at FFCS who made phone calls, typed notices, placed orders, made lists, made signs, used their knowledge to gather services, stayed late, came early, put together schedules, used every connection they could make to get folks here, donated time and money…They helped us pull it all together for the benefit of your children.

Thank you,
Darcy Williams
Elementary School Principal
