Congratulations to all of the FFCS band students for their tremendous performances at the Sherburne Pageant of Bands May 31-June 2.

Junior Jazz and High School Jazz I both took first place. Small Ensemble took second place. Wind Symphony took fourth place along with Color Guard, and Marching Band took fifth place.

“It was a great weekend and all of our band students should be proud,” band director Chad Lenig and music teacher Greg Kowalczyk both said.

What is the Sherburne Pageant of the Bands?

In its 68th year, it is hosted by the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District. It is heralded as one of the largest, oldest and most respected band pageants in New York State. Bands from as far away as South Dakota and Iowa have participated. The event draws as many 10,000 people annually.
