Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School serves students in grades Pre-K through Grade 4.
At Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School, it is our mission to create a respectful partnership among community, staff, and students. Together, we will provide a safe, nurturing environment that encourages acceptance and academic excellence, while promoting integrity and life-long learning.
Students should not be dropped off before 7:35 a.m. due to lack of supervision.
School Opening Late or Closing
School closing, delayed starting time or early dismissal will be posted on local TV stations. Announcements regarding emergency changes in schedule or activities can also be viewed on our website. If there is a two-hour delay, students should arrive at 9:45 a.m.
A staff member will be at the top of the loop to open the door as a valet service for each car. Please do not get out of your car or drive past our staff member. Once our staff has closed your door you may proceed through the loop. We will be letting students out one car at a time.
At first, this may seem like an inconvenience and a process that will be time consuming, however, if everyone abides by these guidelines it will be more efficient, and most importantly, safer for everyone.
Parking in the loop is prohibited until after 8 a.m. If you require more time to get your child ready to exit your car please park in one of the available spots.
If your child is riding a different bus on any day, a note must be written by the parent/guardian to include the following information: Student’s full name, date of bus change, name and 911 address student is going to, and the slot number of the bus if known.
End of the Day Student Sign-Out
Parents/guardians will sign out their children in the cafeteria between 2:15 – 2:30 p.m. Students will be in the cafeteria with staff until a parent or authorized person picks them up. Students must be signed out by an authorized adult 18 years of age or older. Staff may ask for identification from a person(s) that they are not familiar with for the safety and protection of your child.
Excuses from School
Any excuse for leaving the building must be approved by the office. A written request from the parent or legal guardian must be presented to the elementary Office prior to 8:30 a.m. All requests must state the reason for early dismissal or they will not be honored. Written parental permission should include full name of student, exact time of dismissal, purpose, date and full signature of parent.
