The PTA is sponsoring a BACK TO SCHOOL CARNIVAL on
Saturday September 27, from 11am – 2pm. We are trying to
raise money for new playground equipment and field
trips. There will be games, food and prizes! Hope to see
you there!
Don’t forget to save your Box Tops and Tyson labels, and
this year we are also collecting Nestle Pure Life water
bottle labels.
Please register your Price Chopper discount card. You
can also register your Target credit card online and
FFCS will receive a percentage of every purchase made at
Target.
Yearbook Update – Due to rising costs of printing and
shipping, the 2008-2009 yearbook will be $12.00. It will
still have 48 full color pages. The only way to
guarantee your child will receive a yearbook is to
pre-order one! Watch for the order form coming home.
Unity
I dreamed I stood in a studio and watched two sculptors there. The clay they used was a young child’s mind. And they fashioned it with care.
One was a teacher; the tools he used were books, music and art; One a parent with a guiding hand and a gentle and loving heart.
Day after day the teacher toiled, with touch that was deft and
sure, While the parent labored by his side and polished and smoothed
it o’er.
And when at last their tasks were done, they were proud of what
they had wrought, For the things they molded into the child could neither be sold
or bought.
And each agreed he would have failed if he had worked alone. For behind the parent stood the school, and behind the teacher,
the home.
