Community Walk & Community Swim

Members of local senior citizens groups exit a school bus onto the district campus.

NOTE: As of Friday, March 13, Community Walk and Community Swim are canceled until further notice.

Fonda-Fultonville encourages community involvement in the schools by offering opportunities for parents and community members to participate in schoolwide activities.

Community Walk

The annual Community Walk Program runs December through May, only on dates when school is in session. Community members can walk around the school buildings from 6:30 to 7 a.m. & 6 to 9 p.m. To participate in this program, please contact Megan Torniainen at (518) 853-4415 ext. 4207 mtorniainen@ffcsd.org. Mrs. Torniainen will send you an application and issue you a badge to give you access to the building.

Community Swim & Senior Citizens Swim

Every year, the district opens the pool for a Community Swim program, which is available to all district residents at no charge. There is a time slot especially for senior citizens.

  • Sunday 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Senior Citizen Swim
  • Sunday 1:30-3:30 p.m.: Community Swim

The pool is closed when school is not in session. The pool may also close for repairs and/or maintenance. Please refer to the district’s Google calendar to ensure the pool is open before your visit.
