Three members of FFCS faculty and staff were
recognized at the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce annual
"Employee of the Year" luncheon at the Raindancer restaurant in
Amsterdam on Friday, April 27th. Among the 23 nominees from area
businesses were high school secretary Linda Petterson, middle school
social studies teacher Jon Thompson, and Reading First building
coach Sue Wolf, Reading First building coach. Joining the more than
100 people attending were high school principal Dave Ziskin, middle
school principal Beth Donovan, elementary principal Alicia
Henry, and District Superintendent Dr. James D. Hoffman.
Ron Bell of Brown's Coach in Fonda was selected as the Chamber's
Employee of the Year. Ron was selected for his 30 years of customer
service at Brown's Coach, his community service, and assistance
during the flooding last June. Brown's Coach faithfully serves our
district by safely transporting our students to and from school each
day. Congratulations to Ron and all of the nominees. Thanks to the
Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Deborah Auspelmyer and her
