Farley
grant to improve middle school security
A $25,000
legislative grant from New York State Senator Hugh Farley will
upgrade security in the middle school. The funds will enable the
district to install electronic "swipe cards" on the school's
exterior locks.

Superintendent James D. Hoffman had an opportunity to personally thank
Senator Farley for the senator's efforts on January 17 during a
visit to Albany. "It was my first opportunity to meet the Senator
since taking over the reins of the district in July 2006," said Dr, Hoffman. "I wanted to
introduce myself and help the Senator understand the plight of small
rural upstate districts. He was most gracious, and openly declared
himself a supporter of our district and its goals."
