Club Members Recognized at Statewide Convention
The Fonda-Fultonville High School Key Club attended the annual
NY District Key Club Convention in Monticello from March 18 – 20. At the conference, seniors David Johnson, Scott Kimball and William Lanfear were all recognized with distinguished awards.
Johnson, who serves as the Executive Assistant to the New York District Key Club Governor, received the NY District Key Club’s Governor’s Award. This is the highest honor bestowed on a NY District Key Club board member by the district governor.
Kimball, who serves as the FFCS Key Club vice-president, received the Vincent B. Forrest Distinguished Vice-President Award. This award is presented to one individual who exemplifies the role of the Key Club vice-president and has distinguished himself in the performance of his duties.
The Distinguished Key Clubber Award was awarded to FFCS Key Club President William Lanfear, Kimball and Johnson. Out of 10,000 Key Club members in the NY District Key Club, only 124
students received this award.
The FFCSD Key Club advisor is Sally R. Ochampaugh, and the club is sponsored by the Fonda-Fultonville Kiwanis Club.
