Christmas Cheer Raffle to benefit local kids

Fonda-Fultonville Middle School has proven again and again that it cares about others and Middle School Student Council can't think of a better way to show you care than to support our annual Christmas Cheer Raffle. Funds raised will be used to purchase gifts for those in our school district who might not get anything this holiday.

Student Council members donated items for four baskets; a sports basket, a music basket, a candy basket, and a movie basket. Faculty members and each of the five teams of Middle School teachers also donated items to be raffled.

Raffle tickets are sold during the students' lunch period for 25 cents each. The raffle began on Thursday, December 4th and will continue through Friday, December 12th. The Student Council members along with chaperones will leave at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16th to travel to Rotterdam Square Mall to purchase gifts for these children. Student Council members and volunteers will be wrapping the gifts and passing them along to Mr. Jon Thompson, director of Christmas Cheer here at Fonda, so they can be given to the appropriate agencies for distribution to local families.
