The program is designed to increase student achievement, promote
the arts at home, in the school and in the community, and
encourage children's creativity. Students were asked to

dance choreography, film production, literature, musical
composition, photography and visual arts.
Although Reflections has been around for 40 years it has been
only recently that the PTA has enlisted the help of the
elementary art teacher Kathleen Bushek to increase participation
in the program. Working with local PTA Reflections Chair person
Doris Castle, the numbers of students participating in the
program have more than doubled from the first year.
Last year five students participated. One student, sixth grader
Eva Brown had a drawing displayed at the State Show.
