4Holiday Crafts

 Dear Parents/Guardians,

 To celebrate the holiday season we are going to have “Holiday Craft Day” on Thursday, December 18, 2008.  We would like to invite any interested family member to come in and teach your child’s class how to make an ornament, gift, or decoration. Some examples are: felt ornaments, tree ornaments, pinecone ornaments, painted ornaments, sequined ornaments, beaded ornaments, decoupage plaques, small gifts, gift or seasonal cards, Styrofoam decorations, wrapping paper, or any other type of craft.

 We would ask that you supply the materials. We can help with any school supplies we may have (glue, paper, tempera paint, etc.). Please plan on showing the children a sample of the finished craft before you begin teaching. Also, please plan on having enough materials for you child’s class. (Mahon: 18 students, Dietrick: 19 students). 

 We will have craft stations from 8:00a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Therefore, please choose a craft that is rather quick to make, as we are unsure how many stations we will have at this time. We will know more when we receive all forms back. In the past, we have found that each station is given approximately 15 minutes. 

 Please fill out the bottom of this form and return it by December 1, 2008. This will give us time to set up a schedule and let you know the details. We hope to learn some new crafts and share the holiday season with you!
