Fonda-Fultonville boys and girls capture indoor track titles

Both the Fonda-Fultonville boys and girls teams brought home the Division IV team titles at the Tri-County Indoor Track League sectional meet on Feb. 21 at the University at Albany.

The boys outpaced second place Stillwater by 52 points. Individual honors went to:

• Zach Krizan: 55-meters—third

• Nick Quill: 600-meters—second

• Cody Shave: 1000-meters—third

• Zak Godfrey: 1600-meters—first; 3200-meters—second

• Matt Hoffman: 1600—third

• Jon Danise: High Jump—first

• Matt Hoffman: Pole Vault—second

• Alex Phelps: Triple Jump—third

• Shane Smith: Shot Put—first

• Richard Furman: Shot Put—third

• 4 x 200-meter relay: second

• 4 x 400-meter relay: first

• 4 x 800-meter relay: first

The Lady Braves needed Megan Therrien's first place and eighth-grader Katie Wisniewski's third place in the triple jump—the meet's final event—to squeeze out a 10-point victory over second place Greenwich. Individual honors went to:

• Megan Therrien: Triple Jump—first; Long Jump—third

• Katie Wisniewski: Triple Jump—third

• 1500-meter: Kimberly Geniti—second; 3000-meter—third

• Heather Rose: Pole Vault—second

• Katie Newkirk: Shot Put—third

• Allana Clough: 600-meter—third

• Tristan Grisel: 55-meter—third

• 4 x 200-meter relay: first

• 4 x 400-meter relay: first

• 4 x 800-meter relay: second
