Adam Desorbo, a junior, will compete in the 2017 State Golf Championship from June 3-5. This is a two-day tournament at Cornell University where he will compete against all of the top golfers in New York State. Adam is one of eight golfers from Section II to qualify for the state team. Voters approved the $28.2 million budget by a margin of 358-91 and approved propositions to authorize a bus lease, capital reserve fund and funding for the Frothingham and Fort Hunter libraries.
So far this year, the club has participated in video chats with schools in Sweden, Alaska and the United Kingdom. Most recently, the group had a video chat with a Peace Corps volunteer who is teaching English to students in Morocco.
On Wednesday, April 26th, Mrs. Mary Brown and her college-level Participation in Government class got some real-world experience during a trip to the New York State Capitol.
